 His ancestry & life :
Immam al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Muhammed ibn Ali ibn Mosa ibn Ja'afar ibn Muhammed ibn Ali ibn Hussain ibn Ali ibn Abi taleb .
His mother's name was Hudaith or Saleel .
His birth was Rabia I in 230 H . He was only 29 years old when he died in 8 Rabia I in 260 H . The period of his caliphate 6 years only .
His nicknames :
Al-Zaki , Al- Hadi , Al-Naqi
Abu Muhammed . He and his father and his grandfather were known as ibn al-Reza . He didn't have sons but Immam Al-Qaeem only .
The **** of his Imamate :
1- Ibn Qutaiba said from Hamdan ibn Sulaiman from Alsaqr ibn Dalaf said ( I heared Abu Ja'afar Muhammed ibn Ali al- Reza said " The Immam after me is my son Ali , his order is mine , his speach is mine , his obedience is mine and his son hassan is after him ' will be after him ' " )
2- From Ali ibn Ibraheem from Abdulah ibn Ahmad al- Mousali from al-saqr ibn Dalaf said ( Iheared Ali ibn Muhammed ibn Ali al-Reza said " The Immam after me is al-Hassan and after him is his son al-Qaeem who fills the earth with justice and equity as it filled with injustice and tyranny " ) .
His generosity to needy " poor " :
Abdullah ibn al- Abass said ( Iwas taking a seat in the road while Immam Hassan al- Askari passed and I complained my poverty to him and sweared I didn't have any money " Dirham" and with out lunch or dinner but he said" you sweared by God but you were lying . You buried 200 Dinars . I said that not because I refuse to give you mony just to tell you the truth . "
Then he said to his servant to give me all money he had and said to me " You will lose the dinars which you buried them in hard times " Immam was right . When I nedded them , Isearched about them but one of my sons knew where they were and he stole them then run away .
